Unique river tour
Enjoy the rainforest and observe wildlife on this relaxing and unique river tour! The tour begins with a short 20 minute-drive to the beautiful river Peñas Blancas in an air-conditioned van. From here, you’ll begin the boat trip on inflatable rafts that will travel through a slower moving section of the river.
You’ll love this relaxing 2 hour river float with no motor, only the incredible sounds of nature around you. You’ll be accompanied by a knowledgable bilingual naturalist guide who will point out the wide variety of species of flora and fauna to be found along the banks of this beautiful river.
If you’re lucky, you’ll see monkeys, sloths, crocodiles, iguanas, caimans and a wide variety of birds.
Adventure float Boca Arenal
The second of the tour includes a stop at a local Costa Rican’s farm. This is the highlight of the trip for most tourists and a chance to experience true Costa Rican hospitality with a warm cup of Costa Rica’s famous coffee and a light snack.
Finally we re-board the rafts for our final 40 minute-floats to Boca Arenal while we continue to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The return trip to back to La Fortuna takes you through farms and gives you a chance to see rural Costa Rica in one of the country’s most important agricultural areas. This tour is a must for photographers, birdwatchers and families!
